A company called ‘Tovertafel’ visited the CCG on Friday. They have created a interactive light game called the ‘Magic Table’, which is an activity tool for people living with moderate to severe dementia. It motivates them to participate in order to simulate physical and social activity.
There are numerous activities available consisting of interactive light animations that react to hand and arm movements, and are projected on to the table, hence the name ‘Magic Table’. The activities have been developed hand-in-hand with older people to perfectly match their needs.
The activities provide vivid and positive experience, which not only invite the people to interact independently, but also provide invaluable interaction with their peers, families and carers.
